VRM quality: Make sure you do plenty of research. Motherboards in a cheaper build is there for a reason. To keep the price low. Make sure you research from YouTube like Hardware Unboxed , PC Builder or Buildzoid. They do extensive tests on a variety of motherboards, especially the performance.

Overclocking: AMD motherboards are all ready for overclock. Make sure you have adequate cooling for your pc. Also I would avoid overclocking on a A series motherboard.

Intel Z series supports overclocking and B series motherboard does not support overclocking. Make sure you select the right Intel CPU to pair with the motherboard.

Features: Important features to ask yourself if you need it. How many NVME slots you need. Do you need 10G fast transfer? How many USB ports you need. Does it support overclocking?

Size: Make sure you buy the correct size of the motherboard for your pc case. Below is a guide on the sizes of motherboards.

B650 (ATX motherboard)

B650M (mATX motherboard)

B650I (ITX motherboard)

Here’s an example you will see how big of the motherboard this case can accept.

Connectivity: You will need to see how many USB ports you need. Also any specific type of USB port you need? USB type C for fast file transfer.
