BEST GRAPHICS CARD FOR 1080P GAMING IN 2025

Best graphics cards for 1080P gaming in 2025

Best graphics are for 1080P. Choosing between Nvidia and AMD graphics card can be quite challenging. Plus we have a new player in town Intel GPU.

Here are my top pick for 1080P gaming.

NVDIA CAMP

GALAX RTX 4060

4060 8GB: One of the entry level graphics card from Nvidia. It can handle 1080P in high settings in pretty much modern games. However when it first launch it, it was deemed as a bad value card due to the existence of 3060 and 6700xt. Fast forward today, it is still considered one of the best 1080P graphics cards right now. The only downside right now is that the price between 4060 and 4060ti is very little. So it makes more sense to go with the 4060ti.

4060ti 8GB: It’s the big brother of 4060. You get more fps and slightly higher speed compared to the 4060. When Nvidia launch this card it was a tough recommendation due to the price difference. Fast forward today, if the price are not much different compared to 4060 I would recommend going for 4060ti.

AMD CAMP

AMD Radeon Logo

AMD Graphics card is so less talked about in Singapore. Because most of the prebuilts usually offer Nvidia. AMD is offering so much more VRAM for lesser the price of Nvidia. Which alot of first time PC builders are gamers getting their new gaming PC is not aware of.

Powercolor RX7600 Retail Box

AMD RX 7600 8GB: One of the most valuable gpu right now. If you do not need DLSS/ Ray tracing from Nvidia, you can’t even use Ray tracing at this level of card anyway. You can consider getting the RX7600. It’s a 8GB gpu which is the sweet spot for GPU in this era.

INTEL ARC

Intel Arc logo

Intel B580: This is by far the best graphics card release in 2024. It as 12GB of Vram though VRAM does not necessarily be good. However, the raw performance of the Intel B580 actually beats the 4060ti in both 1080P and 1440P.

The most amazing part of this launch is that the card is priced at $400 and the RTX 4060ti is between $555 – $600. This is around 30- 40% difference for better performance.

Sometimes more VRAM does not equates to better performance. However, the Intel B580 is actually beating the 4060ti in raw performance.

However, the GPU is NOT suppose to pair with lower tier CPU like the Ryzen 2600. It would reduce the performance of the GPU. I would recommend getting an AM5 CPU to pair with this.

SUMMARY

For 1080P the ideal VRAM in my opinion is min 8GB. According to the steam survey, 35% of the users are still using 8GB which is still very relevant at the point of writing.

And 1080P resolution is still the most used resolution today at 56% according to steam survey.

So for those of you who are looking to get your first PC and do not want to overspend, consider going 1080P gaming setup as it is the easiest to setup.
