How Much Does a Custom PC Cost in Singapore? (2026)

It’s the first thing almost everyone asks me: “Zack, how much ah?” The honest answer is that it depends on your games or software, your monitor, and how long you want the PC to last. Here are the ranges I actually work with, so you can walk into the conversation knowing roughly where you’ll land.

One caveat: parts prices, especially GPUs, move all the time. Treat these as indicative ranges, and WhatsApp me for current pricing before you decide.

Gaming PC price tiers

Mid-range: about S$2,000–S$3,000

The sweet spot for most Singapore gamers. Solid 1080p at max settings, and capable 1440p for competitive titles. Typical direction: Ryzen 5 9600X or Core Ultra 5-class CPU, 32GB DDR5, RTX 5060 Ti or RX 9060 XT, 1TB NVMe.

High-end: about S$3,500–S$5,500

High-refresh 1440p and solid 4K in most AAA titles, with room to stream while you game. This is where most of my returning customers land. Typical direction: Ryzen 7 9700X or Core Ultra 7-class CPU, 32GB DDR5, RTX 5070 Ti or RX 9070 XT-class GPU, 2TB NVMe. My best 1440p gaming PC guide (S$3k–S$4k) goes deeper into this band.

Premium: S$5,500 and above

4K at max settings, serious content creation and years of headroom. Typical direction: Ryzen 9 9900X or Core Ultra 9-class CPU, RTX 5080 or RTX 5090-class GPU, 64GB DDR5, 360mm AIO or custom loop. Custom loop builds I’ve done start at around S$5k–S$6k and go to S$11k+ depending on parts. See my custom loop watercooled PC guide.

Workstation and business PC prices

These are the indicative per-unit ranges I publish for businesses:

  • Office productivity: about S$800–S$1,200. Ryzen 5 9600X or Core Ultra 5 245, 16GB DDR5, 512GB NVMe, integrated graphics.
  • Creative workstation: about S$3,000–S$4,000. Ryzen 7 9700X or Core Ultra 7 265K, 32GB DDR5, 1TB NVMe + 2TB HDD, RTX 5070 or RX 9070 XT.
  • Rendering and heavy workstation: about S$6,000–S$10,000+. Ryzen 9 9950X or Core Ultra 9 285K, 64–128GB DDR5, 2TB NVMe, RTX 5080/5090 or workstation-grade GPU.

By role, my starting points are roughly: general office from S$800, finance from S$1,000, graphic design from S$1,500, software development from S$1,800, video editing from S$2,500, and 3D/CAD from S$3,000. More on my workstation PC, AI workstation and corporate PC pages.

What actually drives the cost

  • The GPU. It’s the biggest single line item in most gaming builds, and the one whose price moves the most.
  • Your monitor. 1080p, 1440p and 4K need very different GPUs. I plan builds around the resolution you play at.
  • Cooling and case. Singapore’s heat means airflow matters. Custom loops and showpiece builds cost more.
  • RAM and storage. 32GB is the norm for gaming now. Editing and 3D often want 64GB+ and more NVMe space.
  • Parts that don’t show on a spec sheet. Power supply, motherboard and cooler quality. This is where some builds cut corners. I don’t.

Other costs to know upfront

From my FAQ: assembly is S$150 unless stated otherwise, and shipping via Lalamove is about S$20–S$30. Collection is the standard arrangement. You’ll see the full cost before anything is confirmed, with no hidden surprises.

Got an old PC? You can trade it in for up to S$500 off your new build.

Custom vs prebuilt: is custom more expensive?

Not necessarily. Prebuilt brands build margin, marketing and showroom costs into every layer, and sometimes hit a price with a budget PSU or cooler. With a custom build, your money goes into the components and the build is specced for what you actually do. I’ll be honest, though: I’m not trying to be the cheapest quote in Singapore. What you’re paying for with me is the personal service: I listen first, explain every part, build it myself, and check in after delivery.
