Workstation PC Singapore — Built for Your Software
Hi, I’m Zack. If your PC is the thing slowing down your exports, renders or model rebuilds, this page is for you. I build custom workstation PCs in Singapore around the software you actually use — not around a spec sheet that looks good on paper. You talk to me directly, I explain every part, and I check in after you’ve got it.
I’m not going to be the cheapest quote you’ll find, and I won’t pretend to be. What I can promise is honest advice: if a part won’t make your workflow faster, I’ll tell you not to pay for it.
Who my workstation builds are for
- Video editors — Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects
- 3D artists — Blender, Cinema 4D and similar render-heavy tools
- CAD, BIM and architecture — AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, SketchUp, SolidWorks
- Photographers and designers — Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, InDesign
- Developers — IDEs, Docker, VMs and long compile jobs
Doing heavy AI or deep learning work? That has its own priorities (mainly GPU memory), so I’ve written a separate page on AI workstations in Singapore.
How I spec a workstation: software first
Different software stresses different parts. That’s why the first thing I’ll ask you is what you run every day, what resolution you edit at, and where you feel the wait today.
Video editing
A capable RTX GPU gives you hardware acceleration for smooth 4K playback and faster exports. Pair it with a high-core CPU and fast NVMe storage so the timeline doesn’t lag. 32GB DDR5 is the minimum I’d recommend for HD and 4K editing; 64GB if you work with heavy projects or run OBS, editing and other apps at the same time.
3D rendering
Rendering is one of the most demanding workloads there is. A strong multi-core CPU, plenty of RAM (64GB is common) and a capable GPU are what turn hour-long renders into manageable ones.
CAD and architecture
Much of CAD modelling leans on fast single-core CPU performance, while rendering and large scenes need cores, memory and GPU. I’ll balance the build depending on whether your team spends more time modelling or rendering.
Design and photo
Adobe apps like fast single-core performance and lots of RAM. A dedicated GPU speeds up GPU-accelerated effects and previews.
Development
Compiling and running containers burn CPU and RAM, and fast NVMe cuts build times. This is one of the roles most often under-specced by generic office PCs.
Honestly, most creators don’t need pro-grade parts like Threadripper or an RTX A6000. Today’s consumer CPUs and RTX 50-series or Radeon RX 9070 XT-class GPUs handle most creative workloads very well when the build is done right. I go into more detail in my creator workstation build guide.
Storage, cooling and stability
I usually set workstations up with a primary NVMe SSD for Windows, apps and active projects, plus a second drive for archives, libraries and scratch. I also pay attention to the motherboard (enough USB, fast NVMe support, solid power delivery) and to cooling. Singapore’s heat is real, and a workstation that throttles halfway through a long render is not a workstation. Every build is hand-assembled and stress-tested for stability, thermals and noise before it leaves me.
Indicative workstation tiers
These are the indicative ranges I publish for business workstations. Parts prices move, especially GPUs, so treat them as a starting point and WhatsApp me for a current quote.
- Creative workstation (around S$3,000–S$4,000): Ryzen 7 9700X or Core Ultra 7 265K, 32GB DDR5, 1TB NVMe + 2TB HDD, RTX 5070 or RX 9070 XT. For video editors, designers and content creators.
- Rendering and heavy workstation (around S$6,000–S$10,000+): Ryzen 9 9950X or Core Ultra 9 285K, 64–128GB DDR5, 2TB NVMe, RTX 5080/5090 or a workstation-grade GPU, premium cooling. For architects, 3D artists and engineers.

Workstations for businesses
If you’re buying for a studio, firm or team, I can spec machines role by role so your designers get the power they need and your admin staff aren’t paying for a GPU they’ll never use. Zackcustompc Pte Ltd is a registered Singapore company (UEN 202444462W) and I provide proper invoices. Bulk orders are welcome. See my corporate PC page for how it works, or request a corporate quote.
Why work with me instead of a big brand
- You talk to the person who builds it. No sales queue, no call centre.
- Full transparency. You see every component and the cost before anything is confirmed.
- Standard parts. Easy and affordable to upgrade later.
- Clean Windows install. No bloatware.
- Personal aftercare. I follow up after delivery, and warranty support comes straight to me. See my warranty terms.
Customers have told me in their Google reviews that what stood out was how I explained each component and why I chose it. That’s the same approach I take for workstations.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a workstation-grade CPU or GPU?
Usually not. Most creative work runs very well on high-end consumer parts. I’ll only suggest workstation-grade parts if your software or workload genuinely benefits.
Is 32GB of RAM enough for editing?
For HD and 4K editing, 32GB DDR5 is my recommended minimum. Go 64GB for 3D, heavy projects or lots of multitasking.
How long does a workstation build take?
It depends on parts availability. I’ll give you a clear timeline upfront before anything is committed. More on build times in my FAQ.
Can you install my software?
Every machine comes with a clean Windows install. If you need specific software or settings, tell me during quoting and we’ll discuss what’s possible.
What warranty do I get?
Warranty is up to three years depending on the part, with the period stated on your invoice. First-level support is troubleshooting with me over the phone or remotely. Full details are on my warranty page.
Let’s spec your workstation
Send me the software you use, your typical project (resolution, scene size, file sizes), your budget and your timeline. I’ll come back with an honest spec list, with no upselling.
