AI & Deep Learning Workstations Singapore

I’m Zack, and I build custom PCs in Singapore. More and more of the people messaging me want a machine for AI work: running local LLMs, generating images with Stable Diffusion, or training and fine-tuning models without paying for cloud GPU hours. This page explains how I think about an AI workstation, so you can have a better conversation with me (or any builder) about what you actually need.

What people use AI workstations for

  • Local LLMs — running open models privately on your own hardware
  • Image and video generation — Stable Diffusion and similar tools
  • Model training and fine-tuning — for research, startups and internal tools
  • Inference — serving models for a team or product
  • Data science — large datasets, notebooks, GPU-accelerated libraries

VRAM matters most

For AI work, the amount of memory on your GPU (VRAM) usually decides what you can run at all, before raw speed even comes into it. If a model doesn’t fit in VRAM, it either won’t run or slows to a crawl.

  • 16GB: a sensible starting point for image generation, smaller LLMs and learning.
  • 24–32GB: more room for larger models, bigger batch sizes and fine-tuning.
  • Multi-GPU: for heavier training or serving. This needs careful planning around the motherboard, power supply, case and cooling, so it’s very much a case-by-case build.

Most AI tools are built around NVIDIA’s CUDA, so I’ll generally steer you to NVIDIA GPUs for AI work unless you know your stack runs well elsewhere.

Built for long, heavy loads

A gaming PC works hard for a few hours. A training run can hold the GPU at full load for days. That changes how I plan the build:

  • Power supply: a quality unit with real headroom for GPU power spikes.
  • Cooling and airflow: Singapore’s heat makes this extra important. I plan intake and exhaust so the GPU and CPU stay stable under sustained load.
  • System RAM and storage: enough RAM to load datasets comfortably, and fast NVMe for models and checkpoints.
  • Stress testing: every build is hand-assembled and tested for stability and thermals before it leaves me.

Every machine ships with a clean Windows install. If you need Linux (Ubuntu, for example) or a dual-boot setup, tell me when we’re quoting and we’ll discuss what’s possible.

Sample directions by budget

GPU prices for AI-capable cards move a lot, so I don’t publish fixed AI workstation prices. As a reference, my published range for a rendering and heavy workstation (Ryzen 9 9950X or Core Ultra 9 285K, 64–128GB DDR5, 2TB NVMe, RTX 5080/5090 or workstation-grade GPU, premium cooling) is around S$6,000–S$10,000+ per unit, and I list AI/ML as one of the workloads it suits. Multi-GPU builds sit above that. WhatsApp me for current pricing based on the model sizes you want to run.

For creative work that also uses some AI tools, a creative workstation may be enough. See my workstation PC page and custom PC price guide.

Why build your AI machine with me

I’m a single operator, and I’m upfront about that. You won’t get a showroom, but you will get the person who specced and built your machine answering your messages. I’ll tell you honestly when a cheaper GPU will do the job, and when cloud GPUs might make more sense than buying hardware at all.

Frequently asked questions

How much VRAM do I need for local LLMs?

It depends on the model size and how you run it. Tell me which models you want to use and I’ll recommend a GPU that fits them with some headroom.

Can you set up Linux?

Machines ship with a clean Windows install as standard. If you need Ubuntu or dual boot, mention it when we quote and we’ll discuss it.

Do you build multi-GPU machines?

Multi-GPU builds need careful planning around power, cooling and the motherboard. WhatsApp me your requirements and I’ll tell you honestly what’s practical.

What warranty applies?

Warranty is up to three years depending on the part, with the period stated on your invoice. I handle claims with the warranty centres for you. See my warranty terms. Note that using a machine for crypto mining is excluded.

Tell me what you want to run

Send me the models or tools you plan to use, your dataset sizes, your budget and your timeline. I’ll come back with an honest spec.
