I’m Zack, and I build custom PCs on my own at Link@AMK in Ang Mo Kio. Singapore also has big builders like Dreamcore, Aftershock and Invader. Here’s an honest look at which suits you better.
Quick facts
- Zackcustompc is a one-man shop: the person you WhatsApp is the person who builds your PC.
- Address: 3 Ang Mo Kio Street 62, #02-02 Link@AMK, Singapore 569139.
- Open 9am to 11pm daily.
- No assembly fee. Ready in 1 day if parts are in stock.
- Google rating: 5.0 from 12 reviews.
- WhatsApp: +65 8338 8695.
When a big builder suits you better
I’ll be fair. A bigger company can be the right pick if you want:
- A dedicated warranty desk. A larger team can handle claims even when one staff member is away.
- More builds on display. A bigger shop may have more cases and finished builds you can look at before you choose.
- Lots of reviews. I have 12 Google reviews. The big names have far more, and that track record matters to some buyers.
- A fixed menu. If you just want to pick a ready-made spec online and check out, their sites do that well.
When a one-man shop suits you better
- You talk to the builder. No sales layer. I spec the parts, build the PC and answer your messages myself.
- Built around your games and monitor. Tell me what you play and your screen, and I’ll match the parts to it instead of upselling.
- No assembly fee. You pay for parts, with GST 9% included in the price I quote.
- Fast. Ready in 1 day if the parts are in stock.
- Late hours. Open 9am to 11pm daily, so you can collect after work.
Things to check with any builder in Singapore
- Is the power supply rated for 230V and does it come with a UK Type G (3-pin) plug cable?
- Is the cooling good enough for our heat? Rooms without aircon often sit above 30°C, so airflow matters more here.
- Is the price quoted in S$ with GST 9% included?
- Who handles warranty, and where do you bring the PC?
- How will it reach you: self-collect or Lalamove (about S$20–30)?
FAQ
Is a one-man shop riskier than a big builder?
It’s different. You get one person who knows your build, but there’s no large back-office team. If a big warranty desk matters most to you, a big builder may suit you better.
Do you charge an assembly fee?
No. There’s no assembly fee.
How fast can I get my PC?
Ready in 1 day if the parts are in stock. Self-collect at Link@AMK, or I can send it by Lalamove.
Can I trade in my old PC?
Yes, trade-in is possible, up to S$500.
Not sure which suits you? Send me your games and budget and I’ll give you an honest answer, even if that’s “go with a big builder”.
Want this built for you?
Tell me your games or software, your monitor and your budget. I'll spec it, stress-test it for a full day and send it straight to you. No assembly fee.
